the Citadel – a fortified settlement, which arose in the late 7th century on the upper plateau of the right of indigenous banks of the river Desna. The Kremlin has given rise to future capital of Chernihiv-Siversky. In the era of Kievan Rus Chernihiv was important city in Russia, as evidenced by reference from 907, in the “Tale of bygone years”.
